My Candidate for President

Based on the following articles I should conclude with candidate I would vote for if I was able to vote in the United States
Read David Kirkpatrick’s profile of John McCain
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/26/weekinreview/26kirkpatrick.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=John%20McCain,%20Flexible%20Aggression&st=cse&oref=slogin
and Jodi Kantor’s profile of Barack Obama

If I could have voted on the 4th of November my vote would have gone to Barak Obama. Even before I read the article I knew from following the debate that Obama was my presidential candidate. However, I have read the two articles but they did not change my opinion.Overall I would also like to say that in my opinion although the two articles are not enough documentary to base your choice on, I do not think that the two articles cover the ideas that the two candidates have.

Why do I choose Barak Obama,? I do so because I am a socialist and a democrat. I do see the benefit that my country has being a socialist country compared to the USA,which is capitalistic country. I do not believe in individualism as strongly as people do here in the USA.At the moment we see that people are struggling to make ends meet. People do not have proper health care; education needs an overhaul in USA if we compare it with other countries. People need to have three jobs to earn enough money to pay for there needs.

So that is why I would have voted for Obama because he will try to change that, by saying that people with an income over $250,000 a year will pay more tax that the rest of the population. I like the attitude that he has that the widest shoulder has to help the ones that do not have so much. This I not based on the article because a lot of the statements in the article are just phrases taken out of different speeches or small quotes that the journalists have collected.Personally I do not have confidence in McCain, and I do not understand why he drew in Palin. It is not enough to be Vice-president just because you are good looking, furthermore I do not think that she has enough education and knowledge to take over if McCain suddenly would have died.Because McCain has served the country and been a war prisoner, that does not qualifies him to be a president. But at least he has worked in politics for many years. Still I do not like his politic.I do think that the Journalist David D Kirkpartrick presents McCain as a “Maverick” and do we want a “Maverick” to be the next coming president. The world is so tense today that we need a president that thinks before he acts and so bee it. Obama has now been elected and will be the the new leader of this country I do believe the future for the United States is in good hands.
